DAR SI SAID MUSEUM
Dar Si Said museum is worth a visit so there are enough cool things to see, such as carpets, jewelry, daggers, ottomans, chests, various leather crafts.
More importantly, decorations wooden ceilings beautifully worked, those walls covered with mosaics varied and imposing wooden doors, are very impressive.
In 1957, the premises of Dar Si Said were divided between the Department of Craft and the Museum. The latter holds since. that date, nearly half of the palace including the large riad with its four rooms, the small Riad, two floors and numerous annexes.
By its structure and decoration, this part of Dar Si Said is a surviving example of architectural art Moroccan servant of the last century.
In 1978-1980, the museum had been a major campaign of restoration and redevelopment. Some collections have been completed, others under formation, will be presented shortly. Most of the collections of the Regional Museum from Marrakech and the south and particularly Tensift, Sub, High Atlas, Anti Atlas, Bani, Tafilalet. It is homogeneous woodwork, jewelry, pottery and ceramics, weapons, carpets and fabrics and some archaeological whose marble tub early eleventh century.
